Renting without the usual hassle
Shared living with We Own London is different. We’ve made renting for home sharing so simple that you will have nothing to stress about.
Our Renting Process
- Property search: Contact us to help you search for properties that match your requirements, including location, size, and budget.
- Property viewing: Once you have found a property that you are interested in, we will arrange a viewing for you at a time that is convenient.
- Application process: If you decide to proceed with renting the property, you will need to complete an application form and provide us with references and proof of income.
- Tenancy agreement: Once your application has been approved, we will provide you with a tenancy agreement that outlines the terms and conditions of the tenancy, including rent, deposit, and any other relevant details.
- Deposit: You will need to pay a deposit, which will be held in a government-approved tenancy deposit scheme. This deposit is refundable at the end of the tenancy, subject to any deductions for damages or unpaid rent.
- Rent payments: You will need to pay rent on a monthly basis, either by standing order or direct debit.
- Inventory check-in: We will conduct an inventory check-in at the start of the tenancy to record the condition of the property and any contents.
- Property maintenance: If any repairs or maintenance are required during the tenancy, you can report these to us and we will arrange for them to be carried out.
- Notice period: If you decide to end the tenancy, you will need to provide us with the required notice period as outlined in your tenancy agreement.
- Check-out: At the end of the tenancy, we will conduct an inventory check-out to compare the condition of the property to the original inventory check-in. Any damages or cleaning required will be deducted from the deposit.
- Deposit return: If there are no deductions to be made, we will arrange for the return of your deposit.
- Ongoing support: Throughout your tenancy, our team will be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have, and we will provide you with regular updates on the status of your tenancy.
